Audrey Hepburn and Sabrina

” Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.” are the words  of the woman whom I admire the most. The first time I saw Audrey Hepburn in the movie Sabrina, I instantly fell in love with her. Given the chance she were still alive today, I would definitely love to meet Audrey Hepburn in person. Sweet!!

I love the part in the movie when she came back from Paris to take up culinary school, looking glamorous and beautiful. Then David, the man she loved all her life, ends up falling head over heels for Sabrina. Loving that Givenchy dress she was wearing while she was at the train station with her doggy David.

Next is this casual wear wherein Sabrina is hanging out with Linus Larrabee in their private boat talking about Paris.

She even looked more stunning when she now joins the party dress in that gorgeous evening dress. William Holden’s character David is smitten when he saw her wearing it. Va va voom!!!

Then, there’s also a scene in the Larrabee Industries office wherein she is with  Linus Larrabee  having a frozen daiquiri.  They’re preparing to go on a date. She’s imitating Linus talking in the meetings. She is  wearing this gorgeous ensemble by Givenchy. This is a black satin dress  which Givenchy calls “decollete Sabrina”. During the date, this is where Linus asks Sabrina to translate some words in English to French while they were dancing and it goes:

Linus: How do you say in French my sister has a yellow pencil?

Sabrina:Ma soeur a un crayon jaune.

Linus: How do you say my brother has a lovely girl?

Sabrina: Mon frère a une gentille petite amie.

Linus: And how do you say I wish I were my brother?

Last but not least is the part in the movie when Sabrina is torn in deciding whether to keep on seeing Linus or not.  This is the “I’m sorry I can’t stay to do the dishes” heartbreak scene between Sabrina and Linus.  She was wearing a black top and leggings.

Hope I piqued your interest with Audrey Hepburn, particularly for the movie Sabrina. I hope you find your own sense of style regardless of your shape, and size. We should embrace our own individuality as Audrey Hepburn did. You are loved.
