Pink Sugar Favorite : Sugar Tint Lip and Cheek Tint

Price: P349.00 Philippine Pesos

Where to buy: SM Department Stores and their online website Pink Sugar

I love red lipstick. Everyone loves red lipstick. Most people who meet me say red lipstick looks better for me.  In spite of the compliment about it, I am opting for nude lippies lately. Why? Well it’s true that I good look in red lipstick, but I want to go for a more natural look, especially for my lip color. I want people to see  me without the red lipstick. Yeah, the no makeup makeup look.

I found the answer in Pink Sugar’s Sugar Tint Lip and Cheek Tint. The one I got is in Honey Bunny. I read further about the product in the Pink Sugar website, and they have 18 shades available.

I like the color on me, and complements my fair, yet warm yellowish undertone. I am happy how it looks on me and I am loving this product. When you apply it over your lips, it smells sweet, like candy. I would recommend this to beginners of makeup especially in lipstick. You can’t go wrong with just lipstick. Just put one over your lips, and it magically changes how you look, even when you’re still not in full makeup.

Since the product is also a  cheek tint, just simply dab a tiny amount of the product over your cheeks . If you want you use this to contour your cheeks, especially when you’re in a hurry.

Okay, so I swatched the product over my hand, and you can see how  it goes well with my  warm yellow undertone (check the green veins out).  When applying the product with the brush that comes with, it glides easily and does not set immediately which gives you the time to see if you’ve applied enough product or not. You can still smack your lips together to spread the product.

So here’s me wearing it in a Personal Styling class of Ms Donna Cuna Pita. Sorry if it’s not that near. If I want more color to this look, what I can do is add another shade from the 19 shades of the Pink Sugar Sugar Tint line, and do it , ala hombre style lips. Overall, I am happy with this look.

I am hoping to try the other shades soon. For further details about their products, please visit pinksugar.com.ph for more info.

I wanted to learn more about Pink Sugar so I checked their website. Pink Sugar is a new brand that started in 2014.  The brains behind the Pink Sugar brand are brothers Laveen Mipuri and Rohit Mipuri.  It’s also nice to know that Pink Sugar is under the PETA’s Beauty without Bunnies program which means that it’s cruelty free. You may read about Pink Sugar’s Brand Philosophy in the link here.

First of all, what attracted me  to the Pink Sugar brand is their gorgeous psychedelic packaging.  It is bedecked in bright colors, majority of which are different hues of pink.  I will be doing a review on these products in the future. Second, I love how they gave a creative name for each of their products like the Honey I’m Good eyebrow kit. What a cool idea!

Awesome Woomen.ph

This morning I attended an event called Beauty Deconstructed at Splice Restaurant and Bar in Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City. Initially I got lost, but  eventually I asked around. At the next turn, I now see before Splice Restaurant. I followed two ladies who were dressed in yoga outfit, and turns out, they are one of the sponsors.

Woomen. ph is the brains behind this awesome workshop. According to their Facebook page,  “W. O. O. men is a web-based community dedicated to helping Hair and Makeup Artists and Merchants expand their network and client reach. ”

I was able to join the event because I won a ticket from Ms Sonjia Calit’s Instagram page. I did not expect to win at all. Thank you Ms. Sonjia.

I will be posting about the workshops in the event itself in the next blog post. I got to meet like minded women who share the same interests, mainly on beauty, wellness, health and being positive women.

Beauty Bloggers in the Philippines Part 1

Hi there once again. I am glad to see you. It’s raining cats and dogs here. Weather’s a bit blustery but every thing’s fine.

First of all, let me give you a little information about the Philippines. The Philippines is a country located at South East Asia. It is composed of 7, 100 islands. The general language of the country is Tagalog or Filipino. But if you go to another region, the people speak another dialect aside from Filipino. Examples of these dialects are Hiligaynon, Cebuano, Pangasinense, Kapampangan and many more to mention. For the longest time, the Philippines was under Spanish rule, hence most Filipinos have Spanish sounding names. There are also migrants from other countries who have opted to stay here like the Chinese, Indians, Japanese.

Going back to beauty bloggers, Yes, there are awesome and talented beauty bloggers here in the Philippines. I found most of them on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and of course the world wide web. What I love about them is that they just all followed their passion which is makeup. They truly inspire me to pursue this passion as well. On July 1, I will be attending a Beauty Deconstructed seminar in the morning. I will be sharing to you details of that in my upcoming blog. Anyway, hope you can share with me beauty bloggers in your country whom you’re following as well. This is part one list of the beauty bloggers here in the Philippines.

Without further ado, here are some of my the beauty bloggers here in the Philippines whom you may want to follow (in no particular order):

Surprise, Catrice and Essence Beauty Counters at SM

I recently visited a nearby department store called SM in my hometown Paranaque, and boy was I surprised to see the makeup counters of Essence and Catrice now at its beauty department. I truly believe that waiting is worth it all. It’s like being a little girl who finds a gold mine, only the gold mine referred to is makeup. Catrice and Essence products are recently receiving raves from beauty bloggers I am following.

It’s not easy finding the right beauty product, however these beauty bloggers are a big help to me because they themselves have tried the products. They have given their opinions regards the rating of the beauty product. Of course the comment would vary depending on how the product turns out for them. I am excited to find makeup that works for me, and has been tried and tested by the makeup experts like makeup artists and beauty bloggers themselves.

For all makeup afficionados, there are more variety now when it comes to choosing beauty products now available at SM. I am so excited to see these changes.

I hope more makeup brands come here in the Philippines.
